Gambling is paid entertainment, and like any entertainment it should cost what you chose to spend. It stops being that when the money is borrowed, the time is stolen from sleep or the mood after a loss lasts for days. This page sets out plain habits and warning signs. We are an independent guide and cannot see your account, but we can tell you what usually helps.

The basics

You must be 18 or older. Never play with money needed for rent, food, school fees or debts. Decide a budget in Taka (৳) before you open the cashier, keep it separate from everyday money and treat it as spent once it is in. Any bet can lose; bonuses, rebates and VIP rewards do not change that.

Setting limits

Write the limits down: how much, how long and how often. Stop when you hit either. Take a break between sessions, and do not play when angry, drunk or exhausted. If BDBAJEE's own account area offers deposit limits, session reminders or time-outs, check what is available there; we did not confirm which tools it has.

  • A weekly budget you can lose without changing your plans
  • A session time limit with an alarm
  • No playing to recover a loss
  • No borrowing to deposit

Warning signs

Look out for betting more than you planned, chasing losses, lying about how much you play, losing interest in other things, feeling anxious when you are not playing and using bonuses to justify bigger deposits. If two or three of those sound familiar, step back now, not later.

Where to turn

Talk to someone you trust. A doctor can help with stress, low mood or compulsive behaviour. If you want to stop, ask BDBAJEE's own support whether a time-out or self-exclusion is available on your account, and consider blocking gambling sites on your phone. We do not list helpline numbers because we cannot verify them here.

For families

If someone close to you is struggling, stay calm and specific. Say what you have noticed, not what you think of them. Offer to help them set limits, and do not lend money to cover bets. The first conversation rarely fixes things, so be ready for more than one.
